The national unemployment rate is expected to increase by approximately 40% by the end of 2023. Moreover, the current uncertainties in the workforce economy have paved the way for a rise in independent contractors. As we navigate this multifaceted landscape, we shall unearth the intricate trade-offs and policy considerations that lie at the core of a persistent quandary: Does the pursuit of lower inflation come at too great a cost in terms of unemployment?

Chattel slvery exists when an individual is considered the personal property of another. However the implementation of the 13th Amendment gave birth to the criminalization of black Americans through state imposed Black Codes that evolved from vagrancy laws to Jim Crow to the War on Drugs.
